Ryde Lawn Tennis goes Pink for a day!
24 players all dressed in pink, took part in an American tournament to raise funds for the national Breast Cancer Campaign.
Two hours of very competitive tennis resulted in a win for Jenny Boswell, runner-up was Shirley Cotton and a special prize for best "in pink" went to Gill Lloyd. After the tennis the participants, which included 2 brave men, enjoyed an excellent lunch in the club-house.
Total raised for the charity was £135.
Thank you for all those who played to support this very worthy campaign.
This is part of an nation-wide fund-raising effort focused on tennis players and a similar event will take place at Ryde Mead in October.
