Croquet
The Club has four full sized croquet lawns which are of a high standard. In September 2007 we were awarded the three-day Selectors' Event by the Croquet Association - a first for the Club.
During the season there is a full weekly diary of Mix-ins for both Golf and Association croquet. Beginners are welcome at a number of these sessions and the Club's four Croquet Association coaches offer coaching to anyone wishing to improve his/her game. The Club also runs a Members' Ladder and has teams entered in various leagues, including the Southern Federation Croquet League.
2007 was the Club's Centenary year and a very successful one for the Croquet Section. Our Golf Croquet Team was the winner of the Southern Federation Golf Croquet League and went through the season unbeaten.
The Association Team was unfortunate to lose in a final play off in their League.
One of our members was successful in gaining entry to the English National Golf Croquet Singles Championship for the Ascot Cup, played at Hurlingham, and two of our members competed in the finals of the Golf Croquet All England Handicap which one of them went on to win.
